Form A Queue

(written 23 Sep 2014)

No longer myself I make weak
For lack of love from feeble men,
No more their warm embraces seek,
No dreams of now that spring from then.
Though then was good, or so I thought,
They just don't treat me as they ought,
My social life is getting fraught,
No wonder, when...

They watch me, they think I don't see,
They can't think of a thing to say,
They stammer when they talk to me,
Can't meet my eyes, they look away.
They substitute real girls with porn,
Look penitent and so forlorn,
Anticipate acidic scorn,
Yet seize the day...

Emboldened by their drugs of choice,
Screw courage to the sticking place,
Miraculously find their voice,
And focus on my painted face.
Try as they might my shell to crack,
Meanwhile avoid a painful smack,
I'm more concerned with what they lack
In any case:

Imagination is the first,
The porn has robbed their minds of wit,
The skill-set of the best and worst,
Is standardised because of it.
With every guy it's just the same,
The repetition is so lame,
I scarcely need to learn their name,
What name would fit?

Their manners are in disrepair,
Their mothers are the ones at fault,
For rude instructions I don't care,
When given orders I will halt.
When Oedipus has run amok,
He'll find himself right out of luck,
They very much my dick can suck,
What's that? More salt?

Intelligence is out of style,
Since Beavis, Butt-head, Garth and Wayne,
They're very funny for a while,
But as defaults become a pain.
Young men are rendered imbeciles,
Stupidity don't give me thrills,
Moronic talk all passion kills,
So please refrain.

They're ill-equipped and unprepared:
Of course I've got a fuckin light!
When I was young nobody dared
To be without one. Do what's right!
'Cause after all you've me to thank,
You could be home alone, you wank-
Er, running on an empty tank,
You're running scared.

The fear is on you little boy,
Since girls are all post-feminist,
A doe-eyed Anime decoy
Is merely that, they don't exist.
These Tank Grrrlz can see no appeal
In helping you say how you feel,
Encourage you to be more real,
They're getting pissed.

If you can find the strength, the heart,
The stamina, the warmth, the wit,
Maturity and manners, start
Anew, make up the deficit.
Don't blame it on your mother, fool!
You've not grown up, you're still at school,
A druggie man-child, utter tool,
You're so unfit.

The freedom that you think you've got,
From drugs is just a mirage too,
You're free to be an arsehole... NOT!
So don't blame me, this one's on you.
If sight of me makes you feel small,
Just turn around and face the wall,
Or if you've any balls at all,
Please... from a queue.

▪️ Shakey 🎭 Macbeth – Act I, Scene VII [line 64]

Macb.            If we should fail?
Lady M.        We fail!
But screw your courage to the sticking-place,
And we’ll not fail.

▪️Oedipus complex: In classical psychoanalytic theory, the Oedipus complex (also spelled Œdipus complex) refers to a son’s sexual attitude towards his mother and concomitant hostility toward his father, first formed during the phallic stage of psychosexual development.

▪️Beavis and Butt-head: is an American adult animated sitcom created by Mike Judge. The series follows Beavis and Butt-Head, both voiced by Judge, a pair of teenage slackers characterized by their apathy, lack of intelligence, lowbrow humor and love for hard rock and heavy metal. The original series juxtaposes slice-of-life short subjects—in which the teens embark on low-minded misadventures in their Texas town—with the pair watching and commenting on music videos.

▪️Garth and Wayne: Wayne’s World is a 1992 American comedy film directed by Penelope Spheeris. It was produced by Lorne Michaels and written by Mike Myers and Bonnie & Terry Turner. Based on the SNL sketch by Myers, it stars Myers in his feature film debut as Wayne Campbell and Dana Carvey as Garth Algar, a pair of rock and heavy metal fans who broadcast a public-access television show.

▪️Anime:  (Japanese: アニメ, IPA: [aꜜɲime] ) (a term derived from a shortening of the English word animation) is hand-drawn and computer-generated animation originating from Japan. Outside Japan and in English, anime refers specifically to animation produced in Japan. However, in Japan and in Japanese, anime describes all animated works, regardless of style or origin.

▪️Tank Girl: British comic book character created by Alan Martin and Jamie Hewlett. It first appeared in print in 1988 in the British comics magazine Deadline, and then in the solo comic book series Tank Girl. After a period of intense popularity in the late 1980s and early 1990s, Tank Girl inspired a 1995 feature film. After a long hiatus, the character returned to comics in 2007 and has appeared regularly in the years since.
