Peanu(t)s: Part 4

But why's it so important Charlie, why?
Fully snatch 'er and mis-match 'er,
And dispatch 'er out to spy...

Did you set her up with Schroeder?
Did it make her dreams come true?
Or d'he give her the cold shoulder,
Send her right on back to you?

No, I'm sure that he was flattered,
'Cause he didn't know you paid 'er,
So he thought he was an alpha male,
And promptly went and laid 'er.

Did you help him get to third base?
Slow down Schroeder! You can take it!
It's a game play, not a race!
Holy cow! I think he's...gonna...make it!

(Stop right there!)

Bet he didn't know what hit him,
There's a home run in the bag,
Thinks he'd rather have a cougar,
Than a tiger on the rag,

That's 'cause tigers stand for t-t-trouble,
When they peddle frosted flakes,
Unless taken with Viagra,
It's a fail on pussy-quakes.

And he failed to Rock The Casbah,
Though it's not for want of trying,
But I really didn't like it,
And you knew I wasn't lying.

And he's bored with being clever,
So he's donkey-fied his brain,
And he hates it when I tell him,
So I'm telling him again.

Could you smell me on him Charlie?
Did I smell like sweet perfume?
Did he treat her like a baggage?
Did it make your heart go boom?

Some would say you are a monster,
Frankenstein not Frank N. Furter,
But she's got rock bottom standards,
So I guess it couldn't hurt 'er...

But I wonder if old Schroeder really wished she was me too?
I can sense an overarching theme emerging Charles, can you?
And, knowing him, I hope she's fully able to sit down,
And I hope he washed with dettol, Charlie Brown.

Big up

🥜 “Holy cow! I think he’s gonna make it! (Stop right there!)” — direct quote from the end of the baseball commentary section of ‘Paradise By The Dashboard Light‘ from the album  Bat Out of Hell, by Meat Loaf, his first collaboration with composer Jim Steinman released in October 1977. It is one of the best-selling albums in the history of recorded music, having sold over 43 million copies worldwide.

🥜 “And he failed to Rock The Casbah (…) I really didn’t like it” — referring to ‘Rock The Casbah‘ from the album Combat Rock (1982) by The Clash, the lyric is often mistaken as “I really don’t like it”:

The shareef don't like it,
Rockin' the Casbah,
Rock the Casbah.

🥜 “Some would say you are a monster, / Frankenstein not Frank N. Furter” — referring to both Frankenstein of Mary Shelley’s 1818 novel, and to Frank N. Furter of the Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975) who both created monsters and in doing so became monsters themselves. Frank N. Furter’s monster Rocky was hot and wore nothing but gold pants, whereas Frankenstein’s monster was kinda icky.
