🥜 “All the snatching that you’re doing / Has done given me an itch” — referring to “all that scratchin’ is making me itch”, one of a number of clips from the World’s Famous Supreme Team radio show which appeared between tracks on the album Duck Rock (1983) by Malcolm McLaren. 

🥜 “But I’m the one beneath the street (…) My life’s a beach” — referring to a political slogan from the May 1968 events in France, where protesters pulled up the paving slabs to reveal the sand underneath: “Sous les pavés, la plage!” (“Under the cobblestones, the beach.”)
