Sonnet on Transformation (Death XIII)
The post-apocalyptic landscape's bleak,
From little frightened mouse to fallow deer
Incinerated to the highest peak;
I'll see you, armageddon outta here.
"No fate but what we make" and you made yours,
So look around you, see just what you did,
You really meant to such destruction cause?
You lucked out big time, shoulda never bid.
Forgot your sunblock? That was silly blud,
I guess that's the result of donkey games.
While unicorns are drowning in the flood,
The phoenix is transfigured by the flames,
And, rising high, she sees the price you paid;
Recycled she, her transformation made.
