Sonnet on Oppression (The Tower XVI)

The lofty towers man made to scrape the sky
Are under siege from all those left outside;
All those who want admittance won't deny
They've come for justice not, like you, to hide.
Defend your P-O-V as loud you can
White hetero, the patriarchy's dead.
You feel oppressed to be a favoured man?
The rest of us won't hear a word you said.

Meanwhile out there's a thirteen-year-old lad
Too scared to even think he might be gay,
While "strong" men fuck their health, their souls gone bad;
The wonk deflects that they all feel that way.
Oppression heavy weighs and hatefully,
For twenty years denied reality.
