Sonnet on Moving (The Chariot VII)

You're moving out, it's been too long a con,
You pack up all your crap and rent a car;
Unless you're moving up and moving on,
You may as well have stayed right where you are. 
The handbrake on, between two gears are you,
And anti-social circles moving in,
Decreasing spirals downwards through the blue,
Or stuck in mud, your cartwheels in a spin. 

Then, suddenly unstuck, accelerate
To warp speed, clinging on as well you might,
Too dizzy or too busy or too late
To see the world zip past you in your flight.
Instead of rushing headlong at your goal,
Why not remain and see what moves your soul?
